ART FOR UKRAINE

Continue to remember those . . .
who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
Hebrews 13:3

Art For Ukraine

This is a special short story. My teen grandkids approached me and shared their desire to somehow provide financial support to people suffering in Ukraine. They are not employed yet because they are still in school. BUT – they have a plan that touched my heart.

Their Plan

These teenagers have taken art lessons for years and made excellent progress. They want to use their art to help Ukraine. So, they prayed for direction from God to know how to do this.

Art For Ukraine

Now, they have created original art Christmas Cards to sell. Plus, they are selling various Prints of their original art. All proceeds will go to the needs of people in Ukraine through World Vision.

Partnership

So – if you send out Christmas Cards each year, please look at their offerings and consider purchasing from them this year. If you are looking for unique gifts, would you consider a Print of their original drawings? They would be honored if you would become a partner with them, providing a bit of relief to Ukraine in this long, devastating war.

Please pass this opportunity on to your family and friends. Thank you!

Joy of Anticipation – Advent Week 2

You know the little kid in the back seat on a long trip? Every 15 minutes, they ask (with a tired sigh) – “Are we there yet?!” That’s the same little cherub, along with a host of other little kids – and just as many adults – who asks, “Is it Christmas yet?” The first exclamation – “Are we there yet?” – is more like – “Gosh! How much longer?!” An impatience and a feeling of being confined. The second exclamation – “Is it Christmas yet?” – is more like – “I’m so excited, I can hardly wait.” An expression of the joy of anticipation.

Please join me as we explore the joy of anticipation this week! Read More …

But honestly, I did wonder why the bread was so “itty-bitty.” And the cup was barely a good swig! Don’t you remember sticking your tongue into that tiny cup and licking every drop out when you were a kid? Nevertheless, it was clear to me as a child, that communion is not a meal – or even a snack. It’s about celebrating a precious sacrament – and remembering. Today, let’s take a fresh look at communion. Read More …
