Meet Brenda

Brenda is the Founder and Director of Alive and Active Life. As a trained Marriage / Family / Individual Counselor and skilled educator, she comes alongside to help you apply Scriptural principles in practical, creative ways so you can have an Alive and Active Life with noble character every day.

Brenda’s many life experiences have included challenging growth seasons and adventure. She has also endured sufferings, losses, and trials. Her discovery? Jesus makes life deeply meaningful when you partner with God to live an Alive and Active Life.

Brenda develops, publishes, and circulates resources and tools that help you walk with God. All resources and tools – articles, books, e-books, podcast, audio books, and specialized tools – have been designed prayerfully to help you navigate life’s challenges using God’s Word.

 
 
 
 
 
 

What Does Brenda Do?

Because life is hard and time is precious, Brenda writes and develops resources to:

  1. Come alongside to help you live successfully as a follower of Jesus Christ.
  2. Bring encouragement, inspiration, and practical action steps to you every time you use one of our resources and tools.
  3. Assist your application of God’s Word in practical, effective ways to daily life.
  4. Affirm Scripture is “for real” and extremely relevant.
  5. Bring comfort and hope from Scripture into life’s sorrows.
  6. Remind that God’s power is literally downloaded into Scripture, ready for you to “plug into.”

Do you like chess? Surely, some of you do, while others of you . . . well, not-so-much. Perhaps you prefer checkers, scrabble, trivial pursuit, monopoly, or nertz. Regardless of your preferred game, life is like playing a board game – in some respects. For example – chess. Interesting pieces are placed in a certain order on an equally interesting board of contrasting squares. Then it starts: the strategies, choices, and patterns. It only takes a few minutes to realize you can’t play chess without being very engaged and thoughtful. Subsequently, you realize there’s an element like this in the game of life and relationships. One Size For Everybody

Remember when the pandemic was in full swing? Everybody was buying masks and medical gloves. Well, I found some medical gloves for a great price. So I ordered. When they came, I checked the box front. Sure enough – one size fits all. Not true! Those gloves were big enough to fit a professional basketball player who can “palm” the ball! So, I was stuck with these huge gloves. Incidentally, there was so much room in each glove finger, I could have packed snacks in there. So much for one size for everybody!
